The Chairman of Kachia Local Government Area, Manzo Daniel Maigari, has completed the construction of a block of two classrooms in Bonjok community, Kwaturu Ward.
The project, executed under the present administration, is aimed at improving educational infrastructure, reducing classroom congestion and creating a conducive atmosphere for teaching and learning.
Speaking on the development, Dr. Maigari said education remained a major pillar of his administration’s agenda, stressing that investments in schools were investments in the future of the community.
“Access to proper learning facilities is essential in shaping a better future for our children and promoting the growth of our communities,” he said.
He reaffirmed his administration’s determination to continue prioritising education as a key driver of development across Kachia Local Government Area.
“Our commitment is to ensure that pupils learn in a safe and conducive environment, while teachers are also supported to deliver quality education,” he added.
Residents of Bonjok and neighbouring communities commended the council chairman for the intervention, describing the project as timely and impactful.
A community leader said the new classrooms would go a long way in addressing infrastructure challenges facing the area.
“We are grateful for this gesture. It shows that the chairman is attentive to the educational needs of rural communities,” the leader said.
The two-classroom block is one of several projects undertaken by the council under Dr. Maigari’s leadership, as part of efforts to expand infrastructure, improve education and promote community welfare.
