Nigerian Army sensitizes personnel on financial schemes.

The Nigerian Army Finance Corporation has sensitized officers and soldiers on key welfare and insurance schemes aimed at securing their future and that of their families at the Headquarters of the 1 Division in Kaduna.

In a welcome address, the General Officer Commanding 1 Division Nigerian Army and Commander Operation Fansan Yamma Sector 1, Major General Abubakar Wase, represented by the Commander 41 Engineer Brigade, Brigadier General Sherif Aremu described the sensitization as a critical intervention that touches the very core of welfare and operational readiness of the troops.

Addressing the personnel, the Director General, Nigerian Army Finance Corporation, Brigadier General Julius Osifo said the Nigerian Army is reinforcing its commitment to personnel welfare as a key driver of operational effectiveness, with renewed focus on awareness of its insurance and financial support systems.

He explained that while many personnel are already familiar with existing welfare initiatives, the session was designed to deepen understanding of the Nigerian Army Personnel Insurance Scheme and other financial support structures.

He said the Life Policy Cover provides financial support to families of personnel who pay the supreme sacrifice, while the Welfare Insurance Scheme caters for personnel needs.
