Kaduna Intensifies Security Efforts After Council MeetingBy Muhammad Yahaya

Governor of Kaduna State, Uba Sani, has assured residents that renewed efforts are underway to tackle insecurity across parts of the state through strengthened collaboration and increased support for security agencies.
Sani gave the assurance shortly after a Special State Security Council meeting held at the Council Chambers of Sir Kashim Ibrahim House.

The meeting, chaired by the governor, brought together key stakeholders to review emerging security challenges and strategies for enhancing peace, coordination and public safety.
Addressing journalists after the meeting, the governor said the council reviewed developments since its last session and noted improvements in security across previously affected areas.
“We have observed significant progress in security situations across some of the previously troubled local government areas, including Kachia, Zangon Kataf and Igabi,” he said.
Sani, however, stressed the need to address the root causes of insecurity, noting that his administration has made substantial investments in critical sectors.
“In the past two and a half years, we have invested heavily in agriculture, healthcare and education. These efforts are already yielding results, particularly in reducing the number of out-of-school children,” the governor stated.

Also speaking, the Minister of Defence, Christopher Musa, assured that additional logistics would be deployed to support ongoing military operations in the state.
“We will provide more vehicles, fuel and other critical resources to support our troops on the ground. Kaduna’s vast landmass requires sustained and coordinated security operations,” he said.
Musa emphasised that tackling insecurity requires collective responsibility, warning against collaboration with criminal elements.

“The fight against insecurity is a collective one. Anyone found aiding or abetting criminal activities will be dealt with in accordance with the law,” he warned.
The meeting forms part of ongoing efforts by the Kaduna State Government to consolidate security gains and ensure the safety of lives and property across the state.
