The Tinubu/Uba Sani Mobilisation Network has convened a high-level stakeholders’ town hall meeting in Kaduna to review achievements recorded by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Uba Sani under the Renewed Hope agenda.
The event, themed “Consolidating the Gains of Renewed Hope: A Sectoral Review of Health, Infrastructure, Education and Agriculture (2023–2026),” attracted political stakeholders, community leaders, youth and women groups, professionals, and government officials.
The town hall provided a platform for government representatives to present progress reports across key sectors while engaging citizens on the impact of policies and programmes implemented since 2023.
In his welcome address, the Chairman and Convener of the event, Dr Aminu Zaria, said the meeting was aimed at showcasing government achievements and obtaining feedback from the public.
“This forum is designed to enable citizens assess the progress made and offer constructive input on ongoing reforms,” he said.
The plenary session, chaired by the Kaduna State Commissioner for Information and Culture, Malam Ahmed Maiyaki, described the engagement as timely and strategic in deepening public participation in governance.
During technical sessions, the Commissioner for Education, Professor Abubakar Sani Sambo, highlighted achievements in expanding access to quality education.
“We have recorded progress in school rehabilitation, teacher recruitment and policies targeted at improving learning outcomes across the state,” he said.
Also speaking, the Commissioner for Health, Umma Ahmed, outlined strides in the healthcare sector.
“These include upgrading of health facilities, improved access to primary healthcare, provision of medical equipment and interventions aimed at reducing maternal and child mortality,” she said.
In the agriculture sector, the Commissioner for Agriculture, Murtala Dabo, said efforts had been intensified to support farmers.
“We have enhanced access to inputs, promoted mechanised farming, expanded irrigation and strengthened extension services to boost food security and rural livelihoods,” he stated.
On infrastructure, the Director-General of the Kaduna Roads Agency, Abdullahi Baba Ahmed, represented by the Special Assistant to the Governor on Infrastructure, Bello Hayatus, presented updates on road development.
He noted that “significant progress has been made in road construction, rehabilitation of urban and rural roads, drainage systems and improving transportation networks across the state.”
The meeting ended with a call on citizens to continue supporting government policies while remaining actively involved in shaping the development of Kaduna State and the country.
